FAQs

Self Catering Cottage for 2

How does it work being a venue and a luxury cottage for two?

Guests hire Nantwen as either a venue or a luxury cottage for two. If you book the cottage for two then you have the whole of Nantwen to yourself, we ensure that you have complete privacy and on no account do we have venue events during your stay.

HOW DO I BOOK AN ELOPEMENT OR SMALL WEDDING?

We have tried to make this process as easy as possible. Simply use our online booking system (click here) Where you can select the dates you want and add guests if you would like some. You’d then arrange for the registrar ceremonies@pembrokeshire.gov.uk to come out during your stay. In the unlikely event that they are not available then we would just move your booking to another suitable date.

Do you welcome same‑sex couples?

Yes. We welcome everyone—people of all ages, genders, sexual orientations, gender identities, races, religions, abilities, family makeups, relationship styles, and backgrounds. Our cottage, grounds, events, and services are open and accessible to all; if you have any specific needs or questions, please let us know so we can help make your visit comfortable and enjoyable.

Do you provide Witnesses for weddings?

Yes.

Do you take pets?

Due to the vast amount of wildlife and our own animals, we take pets by prior negotiation only. We are happy to accept incredibly well behaved dogs only. We do have some guidance to follow which will be discussed with you when booking. We charge £50 per dog.

Can you have a holiday at Nantwen without a car?

Our nearest train stations are Clunderwen or Fishguard Harbour. There are excellent local taxi links who can pick you up for a small charge and you can spend your holiday hiding away or walking in the hills. There are also good local bus links.

Can you take more than 2 people?

Nantwen is not just a luxury cottage for two. We host music courses, concerts and small elopement weddings. The Cottage can only sleep additional people as part of an elopement booking. Please ask us for more information.

Do we need to bring towels for our stay?

Nantwen is a fully equipped luxury cottage for two. We provide cotton sheets and towels. The Kitchen is set up for the adventurous cook or patient baker and we have everything from a starter supply of logs to a starter hamper containing milk, bread, and butter, coffee, tea, and jam, there is also food to order for your stay – just have a look at the options when making a booking.
